Cancellation & Weather Policy: What to Know Before You Float

Thank you for booking with Saluda Outdoor River Company! Because tubing trips are seasonal and space is limited, we ask all guests to read through our cancellation policy before booking. Here's everything you need to know.

Standard Cancellations

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your scheduled trip are eligible for a refund, minus any non-refundable third-party booking and processing fees.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of your trip are not eligible for refunds unless you purchased Trip Protection at checkout.

Trip Protection

Trip Protection can be added during checkout and gives you a little more flexibility if your plans change.

  • Cancel up to 12 hours before your trip and receive a refund according to the terms of the protection plan.
  • If you cancel within 48 hours without Trip Protection, your reservation may be rescheduled for another available date or converted to a gift card/credit for a future float.
  • No refunds will be issued for late cancellations without Trip Protection.

Weather & River Conditions

Tubing trips operate in most weather conditions, including light rain and overcast skies. Guest concerns about rain chances, temperatures, or general weather preferences do not qualify for refunds outside of the standard cancellation policy.

All decisions regarding river safety and operating conditions are made solely at the discretion of Saluda Outdoor River Company.

If we determine that conditions, including lightning, flooding, unsafe water levels, or other safety concerns, make operations unsafe and choose to suspend or cancel trips, guests will have the option to:

  • Reschedule for another available date
  • Receive a gift card/credit for a future float
  • Receive a refund minus any non-refundable third-party booking and processing fees

Note: Trip Protection applies to guest-initiated cancellations only and does not affect the options offered when we cancel due to unsafe conditions.

No-Shows

Guests who do not arrive for their scheduled trip without prior notice are not eligible for refunds, credits, or rescheduling.

A Quick Note

By completing a reservation, guests acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy. If you have questions before booking, don't hesitate to reach out. We want your float day to go smoothly from the start.
