"Amazing weekend... The staff is knowledgeable and friendly — they went above and beyond to make sure our family had an awesome experience. The river is beautiful and perfect for tubing. My kids loved it. Can’t wait to come back next year!!"

"I celebrated my birthday here earlier this month and had an absolute blast. Evie was the sweetest to work with, she gave me a big hug and birthday wishes when I arrived and made me feel like a queen. She helped with all logistical issues (our fault not theirs), and the whole tubing experience was so fun. We will be back again!"

"Had a fabulous experience... River was very chill (almost like a lazy River ride) and the general view was quite lovely. Cool wildlife - counted 100 turtle and a rather large water fowl (crane or heron?). Staff was friendly, facilities clean, booking/check-in and out processes were straightforward and easy to do. We will be back for sure!!"

"Great time with my daughters. Was concerned because of reviews about the walk down to the river, but I'm 60 with some bum ankles and had no issues at all. River was a great combination of lazy floating and fun rapids."

FAQS

THE TUBING EXPERIENCE

  • How long is the float?

Depending on the speed of the water that day and weather, the float can vary between 2-3.5 hours. Bring snacks and come relax!

  • What is the Saluda River like?

The Saluda River is about 200 miles long, so different sections will vary. (We have the best part, if we do say so ourselves!)

Our section is what you would consider a lazy river, so it has sections of calm floating and also small rapids. You'll see plenty of turtles, birds and fish. You might even see a beaver or two.

The temperature during the summer is typically in the 70s, making it perfect for cooling off on a hot day.

We require life jackets throughout the ride, as the depth can vary between a few feet to 30+ feet.

  • Where do we park?

All tubers meet at SORC at 1001 Old Easley Highway in Greenville SC, where you'll find plenty of parking.

Once you sign in and get your life jacket, you'll jump on one of our buses to the drop-in point. When you're done, we'll pick you up and bring you back to your car. Easy peasy!

  • Who can float?

Adults, kids, dogs... we love everyone! For safety reasons, children MUST be at least 42" tall to float with us and everyone must wear a life jacket, which is provided (please see below).

Dogs float free as long as they are well-behaved and adorable. And, since we've never seen a non-adorable dog, that means all good boys and girls are welcome!

Please note: Our life jackets fit adults and youth sizes 50-90 pounds. If your child is under 50 pounds and cannot fit our life jackets, you are responsible for providing a Coast Guard-approved life jacket for your child.

  • Can I bring my dog to float?

That is a big YES! We love puppers, so as long as they are well-behaved, they float free.

Please be prepared for lots of pets. Must pet the pups.

  • What should I bring?

We want you to have an amazing time, so here are a few things to keep in mind and bring:

    • You will get wet, so wear a bathing suit or comfortable clothing.
    • We suggest water shoes, tennis shoes or sandals that strap to your feet, as flip flops can get lost in the water.
    • The float can take 2-3.5 hours, depending on the speed of the water that day. Bring snacks, water, and sunscreen so you can be comfortable. We also sell snacks, ice, sunscreen, water shoes, hats and more in our shop if you need anything!
    • Please leave any other personal items in your car or bring a dry bag to keep it dry.
    • A Key Saver Service is available at check-in if needed.
  • Can I bring a cooler?

Yes, indeed. Coolers are allowed, but please note glass bottles and liquor are not allowed.

Please do not litter in our beautiful river. We have trash cans and recycling available upon your return.

You can rent a cooler carrier tube for just $10, which can be added to your reservation when you book. We also have ice available at our store and snacks.

BOOKING YOUR TICKET

  • When are you open?

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we're open Fri-Sunday each week from 10 am-4pm.

We also have plenty of special summer holiday events and add-on days, so be sure to follow us on social media!

  • Do I need to book online?

Yes, we definitely recommend booking your ticket online before arriving, as the summer months can get busy. We want to make sure you have an exceptional experience and we can get you to the river quickly!

  • What happens if I have a reservation and it's bad weather?

If we have to cancel tubing due to bad weather, you can choose to reschedule your float or receive a digital gift card for later use.

You'll find this information on your booking confirmation email to make it easy.

  • Do you have special pricing for large groups?

Absolutely! If you have 10-30 people in your group, please choose the Group Tubing Ticket so that you'll get the group discount.

If you have more than 30 people, please call us to schedule so we can ensure there is plenty of room for your group.

  • What about cancellations & refunds?

We float rain or shine (as long as it is not storming!)

If you are worried about the weather forecast or need to change your float reservation, you can easily reschedule your float from your confirmation email.

There are no refunds if your trip is terminated due to no-show or violations of our policies.

If we must cancel floats due to adverse weather or poor river conditions, you will receive an email with instructions on rescheduling your float or you can receive a gift card for later use or refund.
