    The Saluda River is about 200 miles long, so different sections will vary. (We have the best part, if we do say so ourselves!)


    Our section is what you would consider a lazy river, so it has sections of calm floating and also small rapids. You'll see plenty of turtles, birds, and fish. You might even see a beaver or two.


    The temperature during the summer is typically in the 70s, making it perfect for cooling off on a hot day.


    We require life jackets throughout the ride, as the depth can vary between a few feet to 30+ feet.

    You can rent a cooler carrier tube for just $10, which can be added to your reservation when you book. We also have ice available at our store and snacks.

    Please be prepared for lots of pets. Must pet the pups. 

  • What should I bring on my Saluda River tubing trip?

    We want you to have an amazing time, so here are a few things to keep in mind and bring:

    • You will get wet, so wear a bathing suit or comfortable clothing.
    • We suggest water shoes, tennis shoes or sandals that strap to your feet, as flip flops can get lost in the water.
    • The float can take 2-3.5 hours, depending on the speed of the water that day. Bring snacks, water, and sunscreen so you can be comfortable. We also sell snacks, ice, sunscreen, water shoes, hats and more in our shop if you need anything!
    • Please leave any other personal items in your car or bring a dry bag to keep it dry. 
    • A Key Saver Service is available at check-in if needed.

  • When does river tubing season start?

    From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we're open Fri-Sunday each week from 10 am-4pm.

    Yes, we definitely recommend booking your ticket online before arriving, as the summer months can get busy. We want to make sure you have an exceptional experience and we can get you to the river quickly!

    The best time to go tubing is during warm summer weather, especially from late May through early fall. (Weekend spots book quickly)

  • Where do we park upon arrival?

    All tubers meet at SORC at 1001 Old Easley Highway in Greenville, SC, where you'll find plenty of parking. 


    Once you sign in and get your life jacket, you'll jump on one of our buses to the drop-in point. When you're done, we'll pick you up and bring you back to your car. Easy peasy!

  • What happens if there is bad weather?

    If we have to cancel tubing due to bad weather, you can choose to reschedule your float or receive a digital gift card for later use. 


    You'll find this information on your booking confirmation email to make it easy.

  • Do you have special pricing for large groups?

    Absolutely! If you have 10-30 people in your group, please choose the Group Tubing Ticket so that you'll get the group discount. 


    If you have more than 30 people, please call us to schedule so we can ensure there is plenty of room for your group.

  • What about cancellations & refunds?

    We float rain or shine (as long as it is not storming!)


    If you are worried about the weather forecast or need to change your float reservation, you can easily reschedule your float from your confirmation email.


    There are no refunds if your trip is terminated due to no-show or violations of our policies.


    If we must cancel floats due to adverse weather or poor river conditions, you will receive an email with instructions on rescheduling your float or you can receive a gift card for later use or refund.

  • Are there any age restrictions for river tubing?

    Everyone is welcome! Adults, kids, dogs... we love everyone! For safety reasons, children MUST be at least 42" tall to float with us and everyone must wear a life jacket, which is provided (please see below).


    Dogs float free as long as they are well-behaved and adorable. And, since we've never seen a non-adorable dog, that means all good boys and girls are welcome!


    Please note: Our life jackets fit adults and youth sizes 50-90 pounds. If your child is under 50 pounds and cannot fit our life jackets, you are responsible for providing a Coast Guard-approved life jacket for your child.
